Experimental printing without a press

During this half day, experimental workshop you will explore printing techniques without using a press.
We will be starting with mono-printing techniques – learning how to make one off prints from your working surface, from drawings and using the roller to create multi-colour images. Other techniques may include simple lino-cut and collage techniques.
This hands-on workshop is suitable for complete beginners as well as for those with some experience.
Please wear old clothes or bring an apron to protect your clothes
Tutor: Morag Tweedie
Morag Tweedie is a graduate in Printed Textiles from Glasgow School of Art and has worked as a teacher, artist and designer in a variety of fields. Colour, pattern and a keen eye for observation are key components within her art and textile work. She regularly exhibits throughout Scotland, runs workshops in Scotland and Spain and has undertaken design consultancies in Lesotho, Southern Africa.
