Established in 1995 through the amalgamation of two groups, the DDCA is the largest community charity in Dufftown, delivering projects and services thanks to the dedication of passionate local volunteers.
We are led, run and supported by residents of Dufftown & District who are passionate about the long-term success of the town and surrounding area. We rely on local residents to support our community projects, events, and initiatives, helping shape the future of Dufftown today and tomorrow.”
Charitable activities
The DDCA has 6 key sub groups that help us structure and convey our works.
Diverse and Inclusive communities
The DDCA works closely with community groups across Dufftown and District to promote local development, volunteering, and community initiatives. We also collaborate with the Cabrach, Glenrinnes, and Glenlivet communities to align efforts across Speyside and Moray, ensuring a coordinated approach to community growth. In addition, we maintain strong partnerships with the third sector and Moray Council to support local projects and events.”
Sensitive to our history
Steeped in history stretching back to the 1500s, Dufftown is a vibrant town filled with historic buildings and artefacts. While stretching the community into the future we remain sensitive to what has come before.
“Passionate volunteers are the precious gems of the community, they are motivated when supporting both the satisfying and frustrating parts of community development”
Fraser McGill – DDCA Chairperson
