For those on Facebook, Anne Jan’s posts illustrate his resourceful gathering of historic information about Dufftown. AJ as he likes to be called has now joined the DDCA as a trustee to help us further our Protecting Heritage sub group.
AJ is developing an app for mobile devices to bring the history of Dufftown to life, he is bringing this to the DDCA to ensure that it remains a viable asset for generations to come. We are looking to build upon this growing collection of history with visual story boards throughout the town which will be linked to walking routes.
The most exciting news to follow is the energy that AJ brings to the Dufftown Clock Tower. AJ is currently investigating the potential to convert the currently disused Clock Tower into a museum which would be open to the public.
